Shri Sushil Chandra, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Western Circle, Mumbai held a statutory inquiry into the accident in 12215 Up Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express Train at Ajmer Railway Station in Non-electrified BG Section of Ajmer Division of North Western Railway at about 16.35 hours on 26.3.2018

 

As a result of the accident, one passenger was killed and one person sustained simple injury.

 

According to the provisional findings of the Commissioner appended with his preliminary report, the accident in Coach No.G-14, NR09961 WACCNH of 12215 Up Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bandra Terminus Garib Rath express Train at Ajmer Railway Station in Non-electrified BG Section of Ajmer Division of North Western Railway at about 16.35 hours on 26.03.2018 occurred due to electric shock from Bottle Cooler cum Deep Freezer equipment provided in the Mini Pantry of the said Coach.  The accident is classified as ‘Equipment Failure ‘.

 

These findings are under the consideration of the Government.
