Vadodara CGST & CE Zone, celebrated the 6^th GST day on the 1st July, 2023 where senior officers from Vadodara-I, Vadodara-II, Audit  Vadodara & Appeal Vadodara Commissionerates participated. Shri Manoj Kumar Srivastava, IRS, Principal Commissioner, Vadodara-I graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. Aashir Tyagi, ADG NACIN Vadodara & Smt. Smita Dolas also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The Event saw participation from major Industrial houses including M/s GNFC, M/s Pertonet CNG Ltd., M/s Ceat Ltd, M/s Gujarat State Alkali Ltd., M/s Alembic Group, M/s Apollo Tyres, M/s R.R Kabel & M/s Checkmate Security Services.

In his address the Chief Guest emphasized on the theme of 6^th GST day, which talks about driving growth by simplifying the tax system.  The Chief Guest’s key note address was  followed by distribution of commendation Certificates to 05 meritorious  officers from Vadodara-I,  Vadodara-II, Audit  Vadodara & Appeal Vadodara Commissionerates. This was followed by distribution of mementos to esteemed taxpayers who participated in the event & who also spoke about the increasing emphasis on the trade facilitation from the department’s side after the implementation of GST.

The event concluded with a cultural function by officers & staff of CGST Vadodara Zone.
