Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, is celebrated on October 31st each year to commemorate the birth anniversary of the 'Iron Man of India,' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This day is dedicated to celebrating India's unity, diversity, and the pivotal role of Sardar Patel played in unifying the country post-independence.

Today, on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), a "Run for Unity" event was organized at Relief Road, Ahmedabad by the Regional Office, North Gujarat Region. The event aimed to pay homage to Sardar Patel's vision of a united India by bringing people from various walks of life together. Large number of officers and officials of the Department of Posts participated in the event along with local community, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity.
