More Than 18 Lakh Consultations Completed On E-Sanjeevani

eSanjeevaniOPD (Patient to Doctor Teleconsultation services) has been rolled out in 25 States/UT. eSanjeevani HWC (Doctor to Doctor Teleconsultation services) has been rolled out in 20 States/UT.

 

As on 01 Feb 2021, more than 18 lakh consultations have been completed using the two streams of eSanjeevani (HWC & OPD).

 

Following two premier institutions have setup specialised OPDs on eSanjeevaniOPD:

 

  1. ) All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) – Bathinda has set up specialised OPDs (such as General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry Radiation Oncology, General Surgery, Dermatology, Paediatric Surgery, Urology, Surgical Oncology, Dental Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology and Gynaecology) on e-eSanjeevani OPD. 

 

2) AIIMS BIBINAGAR has set up specialised OPDs ( such as General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Community and Family Medicine and Gynaecology).

 

Teleconsultation for OPD consultation has been started through e-Sanjeevani app in Delhi initially from 25.08.2020 and extended to other cities subsequently from 4th December 2020.

 

The Consultation is available from 9 AM to 12 PM from Monday to Saturday and Consultation services is available with Specialists of Medicine, Orthopaedics, Eye, ENT and Psychiatry.

Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is transforming 1.5 lakhs SHCs and the PHCs into the Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs). Under the ambit of this scheme, this Ministry is utilizing the benefits of information technology to enable HWCs with Telemedicine services from hubs being set up in Medical Colleges/district hospitals.

 

States are being supported under NHM for further supporting States for implementation of eSanjeevani, based on the requirement posed by States in Programme Implementation Plan

 

(PIP), subject to availability of resources.
