3rd day of Jan Aushadhi Diwas week celebrated today

On 3rd day of Jan Aushadhi Diwas week today, team comprising of BPPI, Jan Aushadhi Mitra and Jan Aushadhi Kendra owners organised special awareness programme on the theme ‘Teach Them Young’, across the country. Under this programme, BPPI officials visited schools, colleges, institutions, interacted with the participants and made them aware of Jan Aushadhi and Entrepreneurial opportunities offered by Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana.

As a part of this activity, Health and Hygiene education programmes were conducted to make the students aware about the various high-quality products available at the Jan Aushadhi kendras at much lower prices. The female students were informed about the re-launching of the Suvidha Sanitary Napkins (on 27.08.2019) by the Government of India with new prices i.e. Rs. 1/- per pad. This important step of the Government will ensure the Health & Sanitation of Women in India who still use unhygienic aids during menstrual cycle due to non-affordability of sanitary napkins. Jan Aushadhi Suvidha is being made available for sale in more than 7400 PMBJP kendras across the country. Till 28th February, 2021, more than 11.18 Crore pads were sold through these kendras.

3rd Janaushadhi Diwas on 7thMarch, 2021 is being celebrated with the theme of “Sevabhi – Rozgar bhi”.  Celebration for Jan Aushadhi Diwas week started from 1st March by conducting various activities like Health Checkup Camps, Jan AushadhiParicharcha, Teach Them Young, Suvidha Se Samman, etc., across the country.
