4th day of Jan Aushadhi Diwas week celebrated today

The 4th day of Jan Aushadhi Diwas 2021 week was celebrated today on the theme “Suvidha Se Samman”. On this occasion, team BPPI, Jan Aushadhi Mitra and Jan Aushadhi Kendra owners participated in the activities and hosted the camps to educate females about the usages of Sanitary Pads. Under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana, free distribution camps for Suvidha Sanitary Napkins were hosted at more than 2000 places and more than 1,00,000 Suvidha Sanitary Napkin packets were distributed free of cost to the women.

 

In order to make Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary pads more affordable and accessible to the women of India, Government of India decided to make these pads available at a rate of only Rs. 1 per pad through all Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country. The launching of Suvidha Sanitary Napkins with revised rates was done by the Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Shri D.V.Sadananda Gowda & Minister of State for Shipping (IC) & Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya. Since inception till 28th Feb, 2021 over 11.18 crore pads have been sold at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras.

Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI), the implementing agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is celebrating 3rd Janaushadhi Diwas on 7th March, 2021 with the theme of “Seva bhi – Rozgar bhi”.  BPPI started celebrating Jan Aushadhi Diwas week from 1st March by conducting various activities like Health Checkup Camps, Jan Aushadhi Paricharcha, Teach Them Young, Suvidha Se Samman, etc., across the country. Beginning the celebrations from 1st March 2021, Jan Aushadhi Kendra owners hosted Health Check-up Camps that provided Blood Pressure Check-up, Sugar level Check-up, free doctor consultation, free medicine distribution, etc.
