Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), NHPC, Shri U.S. Sahi, Executive Director (CC), NHPC and Shri Lucas Guria, Executive Director (HR), NHPC and Shri Vijay Yadav, former Indian cricketer alongwith the winning team of Maitri Cup 2023 on 28^th January 2023.

NHPC won the ‘Maitri Cup 2023’ T20 Cricket tournament held at Vijay Yadav Residential Cricket Academy, Faridabad from 27^th to 28^th January 2023. Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), NHPC awarded the winning team of NHPC in the presence of Shri U.S. Sahi, Executive Director (CC), NHPC, Shri Lucas Guria, Executive Director (HR), NHPC and Shri Vijay Yadav, former Indian cricketer and other senior NHPC officers on 28^th January 2023. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), NHPC congratulated the participating teams for their performance and said that the tournament had been organized by NHPC towards promoting sporting activities and team spirit amongst its employees.

In the final match of the tournament NHPC defeated CVPPPL by 5 wickets. A total of three teams including NHPC, NHDC (A Joint Venture of NHPC & Govt. of Madhya Pradesh) and CVPPPL (Joint Venture Company of NHPC & JKSPDC) had participated in the tournament.
