Expansion of Ayush health services in rural areas

Ministry of Ayush is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM) through State/UT Governments and supporting their efforts by providing financial assistance for establishment of new Integrated Ayush Hospitals, Ayush Dispensaries, Ayush Education Institutions as per the proposals received from them in their State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) within the provisions of NAM guidelines. However, under NAM, as per the proposals received from the State/UT Governments through SAAPs, 12500 Ayush Dispensaries / Sub Health Centres have been supported to be upgraded as Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [ AAM (Ayush)] and as reported by the States/UTs, all are functional in different parts of the country including rural areas for providing Health care services to the community through Ayush system of medicines. The State/UT-wise list of functional AAM (Ayush) is furnished at Annexure.

Further, Ayush Telemedicine services are now accessible through the e-sanjeevani portal, facilitating remote healthcare consultations in the Ayush sector and as per the requirement services are being provided by States/UTs as reported.
