Digital Readiness of AYUSH Institutions

The details of the number of AYUSH hospitals, clinics and registered practitioners connected to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) platform so far, State/UT-wise and year-wise, are as per Annexure -I & II.

Ministry of Ayush, under the Ayush Grid initiative, has developed several digital platforms, including the Ayush Hospital Management Information System (AHMIS), for adoption across Ayush facilities. AHMIS is compliant with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and supports standardized diagnostics, service delivery, and data management.

The Ayush Grid assesses the digital readiness of Ayush facilities during their phased onboarding on AHMIS, following which, facilities are registered on the ABDM ecosystem through the creation of entries in the Health Facility Registry (HFR) and the Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR).

Ministry of Ayush, under the Ayush Grid initiative, is conducting phased training programs to equip Ayush doctors with the necessary digital infrastructure and technical capabilities to participate in the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The process begins with virtual sessions conducted in collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA), focusing on technical orientation, procedural guidance, and facilitation for creating Healthcare Professional Registry (HPR) and Health Facility Registry (HFR) IDs. Subsequently, hands-on training on ABDM-compliant A-HMIS systems is provided to relevant stakeholders, ensuring their readiness to adopt and utilize digital health tools effectively. Further, ABDM actively promotes awareness and capacity building of healthcare stakeholders, including the Ayush system of medicine.
