Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, will grace the Foundation Day function of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) on 5 February 2026. The event will be held at Mahika Hall, Prithvi Bhawan, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, will be the Guest of Honour for the event. Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, will deliver the Foundation Day Lecture. Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO, ANRF, along with other eminent dignitaries, including Secretaries from various Ministries & Departments, Scientists, Policymakers, and academicians, will also be present on the occasion.

ANRF, established through an Act of Parliament: ANRF Act, 2023, serves as the apex body for nurturing a cohesive, inclusive, and impact-oriented research ecosystem, aligned with national priorities and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

The Foundation Day programme will feature the release of the ANRF Compendium and the announcement of Prime Minister Professorship awardees selected under this scheme. During the event, a special film reflecting ANRF’s journey and its important role in strengthening India’s research and innovation ecosystem will also be screened.
