The Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025 has come into force with effect from 1st July, 2026 in rural areas of the entire country. All States and UTs have notified the VB G RAM G Scheme and have started implementing the same. The State/UT-wise details of interim allocation made, mother sanctions issued under the VB-G RAM G Scheme since its commencement on 01.07.2026 are given at Annexure.

There are no dues pertaining to any of the States/UTs are pending under Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Scheme as on date.

The Government continuously monitors the implementation of the VB-G RAM G Scheme through the Management Information System (MIS), regular review meetings and other appropriate mechanisms. Prompt sanction of interim allocation and issuance of mother sanction has enabled the States/UTs to facilitate timely payment of wages under VB G RAM G.

The VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 provides a statutory framework for timely and effective implementation of the Scheme. The budgetary allocation of ₹ 95,692.31 made for the VB-G RAM G Scheme, for FY-2026-27 (for the period from 01.07.2026 to 31.03.2027) is among the largest ever allocation made at the Budget Estimate Stage for any rural employment scheme in the history of the country. Further a normative allocation of ₹ 95,692.31 crore has already been done among States/UTs and mother sanctions amounting to ₹ 25,844.97, as first installment, have also been issued. This will help in providing statutory guarantee of one hundred and twenty-five days of wage employment to every household whose adult members volunteer to undertake unskilled manual work. States/UTs have also been requested to expeditiously utilize the sanctioned fund and ensure timely payment of wages to the workers.
