About the Conclave

Under the guidance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has conceptualized The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan as the world’s largest tribal grassroots leadership and responsive governance movement. Anchored in the ethos of Sewa, Samarpan, and Sankalp, it seeks to transform governance in over 550 tribal districts and 1 lakh tribal villages by empowering communities to plan, implement, and monitor their own development vision. The Abhiyan marks a paradigm shift, from delivery of schemes to co-creation of development, enabling citizens, institutions, and governments to act in harmony for inclusive growth.

Key Features and Impact

  • Formation of a cadre of tribal change-makers (Adi Saathis, Adi Sahayogis, and mentors) driving last-mile delivery and accountability.

  • Village Action Plans (VAPs) and Village Vision Maps 2030 prepared by Tribals through participatory activities and approval of Gram Sabhas — reflecting the aspirations and developmental priorities of tribal communities.
