Official Launch of “PADMA DOREE”

North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation Ltd. (NEHHDC), a CPSE under the administrative control of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), is organizing the official launch of “PADMA DOREE” from 1st to 3rd May, 2026 at Travancore House, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi.

PADMA DOREE is a unique cross-cultural initiative aimed at developing a visionary textile by elevating Northeast India’s Eri Silk and integrating it with the rich weaving traditions of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh.

The event will serve as a premier platform bringing together designers, policymakers, industry leaders, and artisans to showcase the outcomes of this initiative and position PADMA DOREE in the national and global textile landscape. The programme will include a curated fashion showcase, exhibitions, and cultural engagements.
