Filling of nominations for seventh phase of Lok Sabha Elections in West Bengal have begun
88 candidates are in the fray for fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections in the State

Filling of nominations for seventh phase of Lok Sabha Elections in West Bengal have begun. Notification to this effect has been issued on 7th of May 2024. Elections will be held in nine Parliamentary seats on 1st of June 2024.The seats are Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Jadavpur, Kolkata Dakshin and Kolkata Uttar. The last date for filling of nominations is 14th of May while scrutiny of nomination papers will take place next day on 15th of May. The last day for withdrawal of candidature is 17th of May 2024. The Bye-elections at Baranagar Assembly constituency will also be held on 1st of June 2024.

Meanwhile, 88 candidates are in the fray for fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections in the State after last day of withdrawal of nominations. Voting will be taken in seven Parliamentary constituencies on 20th of May 2024. The seats are Bangaon, Barrackpur, Howrah, Uluberia, Sreerampur, Hooghly and Arambagh. The counting of votes will be taken up on 4th of June 2024.
