Dr. Laxman Kumarwad, Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre, Nagpur, conducted an informative session at the NDRF Academy on the diverse academic programmes and learning opportunities offered by IGNOU.

During the session, Dr. Kumarwad highlighted IGNOU's undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and skill-based programmes, emphasizing the flexibility of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system. He explained how IGNOU enables working professionals, uniformed personnel, and learners from all walks of life to pursue quality higher education without interrupting their careers.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, course participants, and their family members, who interacted actively and sought guidance on admissions, programme selection, and learner support services.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Laxman Kumarwad said, "IGNOU is committed to making quality higher education accessible and flexible for every learner. Our programmes are designed to support lifelong learning and help individuals enhance their academic qualifications and professional skills while continuing their responsibilities."

Addressing the gathering, Brigadier R. Sathyanarayan, Director, NDRF Academy, encouraged all officers, course participants, and their family members to take advantage of the educational opportunities provided by IGNOU. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which participants received detailed information about IGNOU's admission process, learner support services, and academic offerings. The programme reinforced the importance of continuing education and skill development among the NDRF community.
