Access to quality education can play an important role in helping students pursue their aspirations and build better opportunities for the future. However, for students from middle-class families facing financial constraints, the expenses associated with higher education can become a significant challenge.

Demonstrating how scholarship assistance can provide relief to students facing economic challenges, Mr Mohit Yadav, a 19-year-old student belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category, comes from a middle-class family and is pursuing a B.Tech in Civil Engineering. The expenses related to education, books, hostel and other academic requirements were difficult for his family to manage. Despite these challenges, Mohit remained focused on his studies and aspired to secure a good job and improve his family's financial condition through higher education and technical knowledge.

During the 2025–26 academic year, educational financial assistance of ₹1,59,400 was provided to Mohit. The support helped reduce the financial burden on his family and enabled him to continue his engineering education without interruption.

With the financial burden related to his educational expenses reduced, Mohit has been able to focus more on his academics and career preparation. He is currently pursuing his B.Tech in Civil Engineering and working towards strengthening his technical skills for future employment opportunities.

Expressing his feelings about the support from the Ministry, Mohit Yadav said,

By helping ease the cost of education, the support has enabled him to continue his engineering studies and work towards his goal of securing a good job and contributing to the financial well-being of his family.
