Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) organised a walkathon along Beach Road, Visakhapatnam, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting integrity, transparency and ethical conduct in public life.

 

The walkathon was flagged off by Shri Ved Prakash Verma, Vigilance Officer, HPCL. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 people, comprising HPCL officers and their family members, as well as students from the Skill Development Institute.

 

Organised in alignment with the Vigilance Awareness Week theme, “Probity for Prosperity,” the walkathon highlighted the importance of honesty, integrity, accountability and transparency in building a corruption-free and prosperous society.

 

The initiative sought to spread awareness about the role of individuals in preventing corruption and upholding ethical values in their personal and professional lives. The participation of officers, their families and students underscored the importance of fostering a culture of integrity across generations and encouraging collective responsibility towards ethical governance.

 

Through initiatives such as the walkathon, HPCL continues to reinforce its commitment to promoting ethical practices, strengthening public trust and fostering a culture of probity and good governance.
