Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) presented course completion certificates for the Diploma in Correctional Administration to 20 Jail Sahayak trainees from the Gujarat Institute of Prisons and Correctional Administration (GIPCA), Ahmedabad, as part of a cohort of 540 graduating trainees. The ceremony was held at RRU during the Police Commemoration Day programme, with Gujarat Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat as the chief guest. The Basic Training Course for Jail Sahayak, conducted at GIPCA, now leads to a university diploma under the memorandum of understanding signed between RRU and GIPCA in February 2026 and through the University's affiliation and accreditation process.

The programme has been developed under the Global Correctional Administration Studies (GCAS) initiative of the School of Behavioural Sciences and Forensic Investigations (SBSFI), launched by RRU under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel. It aligns with the Prime Minister's vision of reforming and modernising India's security system, including prison management focused on correction, rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Senior officers of prisons and correctional services from Gujarat and other States were present. The cohort also visited various RRU schools and laboratories during the day.
