Opening of new Aadhar Seva Kendra at Kannur (Keralam)

Kannur, 29 October : Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) operationalized a new state-of-the art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) at Kannur, on Thursday, 29^rd October 2026 marking another step towards strengthening resident-centric Aadhaar services in the district of Kannur.

The ASK Kannur was inaugurated by  Ms. Swathi S, IAS, Assistant Collector of Kannur as a Chief Guest, in the presence of Director and Section Officer, UIDAI Regional Office Bengaluru and other officials, M/s BLS International and ASK Staff among others.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

She appreciated the UIDAI’s effort and interacted with residents who visited ASK as well as the centre staff present there. Also, enquired about the Aadhaar enrolment and update procedures, and reviewed the various Aadhaar services being provided at the centre.

The ASK Kannur is equipped with 8 operational kits to provide seamless Aadhaar-related services to thousands of residents. The ASK is functional on all days except public holidays, thereby ensuring greater accessibility & convenience. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra offers Aadhaar enrolment, demographic and biometric updates, grievance redressal and other Aadhaar related services under one roof.

In addition to the enrolment and update transactions, ASK Kannur will also receive grievances from Aadhaar number holders for their resolution through the Regional Office.

With the inauguration of the Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) at Kannur, UIDAI has now operationalised 08 Aadhaar Seva Kendras across Keralam. A further 06 ASKs are scheduled to become operational in the coming days across various districts, increasing the total 14 UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendras in the State.
