प्रविष्टि तिथि: 31 OCT 2026 1:15PM by PIB Hyderabad

The Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, is organising a state-level workshop on leveraging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) on November 2, 2026, at T-Hub Knowledge City, Madhapur, Hyderabad.

The workshop aims to enhance awareness and facilitate the effective utilisation of India’s FTAs, with a focus on expanding market access, identifying emerging export opportunities and strengthening Telangana’s export competitiveness.

The Mega FTA Outreach Programme will commence at 3:00 PM and is expected to bring together nearly 200 participants, including leading exporters from Telangana, officials from the District Industries Centres (DICs), representatives of Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), senior officials from the Government of India and the Government of Telangana, and other stakeholders from the trade and industry ecosystem.

The programme will feature dedicated sectoral breakout sessions focusing on key export-oriented sectors, including pharmaceuticals, engineering, textiles, and gems and jewellery. Discussions will also cover opportunities and practical interventions across agriculture, dairy, marine products and food processing; textiles, apparel and made-ups; engineering, electronics and semiconductors; and services.

The sessions are expected to facilitate interaction between policymakers, industry representatives and exporters, enabling the identification of sector-specific opportunities, addressing challenges in FTA utilisation and recommending practical measures to improve export performance.

Through this outreach initiative, DGFT seeks to strengthen stakeholder awareness, promote the effective utilisation of India’s FTAs and facilitate greater integration of Telangana’s industries with international markets. The programme is expected to support the state’s export growth by enabling businesses to leverage preferential market access and emerging opportunities under India’s recently signed Free Trade Agreements.
