Setting Up of Museums and Art Galleries

There are 6 Museums and 3 Art Galleries under administrative control of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The Museums are as follows:
(i) National Museum, New Delhi;
(ii) Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad;
(iii) Indian Museum, Kolkata;
(iv) Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata;
(v) Allahabad Museum, Allahabad;
(vi) National Council of Science Museum
The Art Galleries are as under: -
(i) National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi;
(ii) National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai and
(iii) National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru.
