45 proposals received during 2016-17 for setting up 50-bedded hospitals in states out of which 39 have been approved: Shri Shripad Naik

Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is a provision of setting up of upto 50 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospital. Rs. 440.00 Crore has been earmarked under National AYUSH Mission (NAM) for different activities including upgradation/setting up of new AYUSH hospitals/dispensaries during current year.
Implementation of approved projects comes under purview of State/UT Governments. There is no proposal to set up multi-speciality AYUSH hospitals in the States/ UTs. Further, Government has approved setting up of Post Graduate Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy Education and Research at Nagmangla (Karnataka) and Jhajjar (Haryana) costing Rs. 59.67 Crores and Rs. 52.04 crores respectively.
