Centre to give all assistance for the development of Higher Education institutes in Kerala: Dr. Satya Pal Singh

Union Minister of state for Human Resources Development Dr. Satya Pal Singh has said that the Central government will take all necessary steps to solve the problems faced by higher education institutions in infrastructure development and would provide assistance to raise their academic standards. He was speaking in Thiruvananthapuram after interacting with Heads of  various Higher education institutes in the state. 

 

The Minister said that the development proposals submitted by Institutes like IISER is under consideration of the government and a favourable decision will soon be taken in this regard. Lack of sufficient number of faculty and staff is affecting the functioning of many institutes. Dr. Satya Pal Singh assured that the issues put forward by higher education institutes will be solved in a time bound manner and a meeting of concerned officials will be convened in New Delhi immediately for discussing this.

 

Prof.V.Ramakrishnan, Director, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram, Prof.Kulbhushan Balooni,Director,Indian Institute of management (IIM) Kozhikode, Prof.P.B Sunil Kumar,Director,IIT palakkad Prof. Shivaji Chakravorthy, Director NIT Kozhikode and Prof.G.Gopakumar,Vice Chencelor, Central University of Kerala participated in the interaction.
