Ministry of Tribal Affairs implements the following schemes towards facilitating education for Scheduled Tribe students in the States/UTs in the country:-

1. Pre-Matric  and Post-Matric Scholarships for ST students
2. Post Matric  and Post-Matric Scholarships  for ST students
3. National Fellowship & Scholarship for Higher Education for ST students
4. National Overseas Scholarships for ST students for studying abroad
5. Grants in aid to Voluntary Organizations Working for the Welfare of STs (Residential/ Non-Residential Schools and Hostels are also funded under the scheme among other projects.
6. Strengthening Education among ST Girls in Low  Literacy Districts
7. Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) under Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India
8. Special Assistance to Tribal Sub-Scheme (SCA to TSS)
9. Girls and Boys Hostels for STs
10. Ashram Schools in Tribal Sub-Plan Area
