A meeting on “Safety status in mines, future Challenges”, was held at the office of Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS)  here today.  Representatives of trade unions from all over the country participated in the meeting.

 

Implementation of Safety Management Plan (SMP) and mechanism to enhance safety and health standard in mines and various aspects of mines safety were discussed.

 

Director General of Mines Safety Shri R. Subramanian, Deputy Director Generals of various zones Shri C Ramesh Kumar, Shri Gubba Vijaya Kumar, Shri DK Sahoo, Shri Malay Tikadar , Shri K S Yadav, shri Prabhat  Kumar  were present in the meeting.  92 trade unions representatives from all over the country also participated in the meeting.
