Union Ministry of Home Affairs has written to the States/UTs to inform that the transportation/interstate movement of animal feed and fodder has been exempted as an essential service, from the restrictions under Disaster Management Act, 2005.

This exemption would ensure that transportation/interstate movement of animal feed and fodder would be allowed to take place seamlessly across the country, during the lockdown restrictions in place to fight the COVID-19.
