COMMENDABLE PERFORMANCE OF RPF OF ER TO PROVIDE ALL OUT SECURITY TO THE RAIL USERS

Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway (ER) in its efforts to provide all out security to the passengers has made deliberate efforts to extend guidance & assistance to the Rail users. They also rendered help to the passengers in distress as well as kept their vigil to stop crime and took active part in rescuing teenage boys & girls from station premises. Some of the recent incidents where RPF made its fullest endeavour are detailed as under:-
1. NEW BORN BABY RESCUED BY RPF AT KATWA: On October 2, 2020, at around 10.30 pm on duty RPF staff Rahul Kumar noticed the presence of one new born baby girl in the bushes behind Platform No.1 at Katwa Railway station. Immediately the matter was informed to GRP/Katwa and Station Manager/Katwa. The officers & staff of RPF Post, Katwa arrived at the spot immediately and the new born baby was rescued and brought to Sadar Hospital, Katwa for treatment. The district administration had also been intimated about the incident and the new born child is presently receiving treatment at Katwa Sadar Hospital.
2. On October 2, 2020, Officers & staff of RPF Post, Jamalpur arrested a tout namely Vishal Kumar, with the assistance of local police, Jamalpur from his shop Vishal Internet Point with the recovery of 16 Railway e-tickets worth of ₹17,265/- and other incriminating articles from his possession.
3. On October 2, 2020, officers & staff of RPF Post, Howrah North rescued a teenage boy aged about 15 years while he was found loitering at the Howrah Railway station. On being asked, he disclosed his identity. The rescued boy was handed over to his mother on proper documentation.
4. On October 2, 2020, officers & staff of RPF Post, Asansol (West), rescued a teenage girl aged about 17 years while she was found loitering at the Asansol Railway station. On being asked, she disclosed her identity. Later on she was handed over to Child Line, Asansol under proper documentation.
5. On October 2, 2020, on duty staff of RPF post, Noapara, recovered an unclaimed bag containing books, valued ₹1500/- inside the train compartment at Noapara Metro Railway station. The recovered bag was handed over to its owner on proper documentation.
