The Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah has expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi for approving the PLI (Production Linked Scheme) scheme for the textile industry by the Union Cabinet.

In his tweets, Shri Amit Shah said that in the last 7 years, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has taken many meaningful steps to make the textile sector self-reliant. Today, taking another step forward in this direction, the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modihas approved a PLI scheme of ₹10,683 crore for the textile industry.

The Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperationsaid that “This visionary decision will increase the dominance of India in the global textile market and will create about 7.5 lakh new employment opportunities in the rural sector, which will especially empower women. I thank Shri Narendra Modi for this welfare decision. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Shri Narendra Modi ji".

पिछले 7 वर्षों में टेक्सटाइल क्षेत्र को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi जी ने कई सार्थक कदम उठायें हैं।

इस दूरदर्शी निर्णय से वैश्विक कपड़ा बाजार में भारत का प्रभुत्व बढ़ेगा साथ ही ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में लगभग 7.5 लाख रोजगार के नये अवसर पैदा होंगे जिससे विशेषकर महिलाएं और सशक्त होंगी।
