Photo Release – Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to CFSL and NDRF near Pune

Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today inaugurated a new building premises at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Pune.

  

Speaking on the occasion he said by making investigation transparent and swift based on scientific evidence, CFSL is playing an important role in empowering the criminal justice system of the country.  

 

The Minister said there is a proposal to widen the network of Forensic Science Laboratories and also provide mobile FSL facilities in every district. The Home Minister also  urged all state Governments to set up Forensic Science Colleges in their states and affiliate them to the National Forensic Science University.  He said this would play a big role in addressing the HR and skill development issues.

The Home Minister interacted with the Jawans of  National Disaster Response Force, NDRF in Pune. He said NDRF and SDRF have  carved a name for themselves, and at times of disasters, affected people get reassured  as soon as these units are deployed.

 

 

The Minister also had ‘Bada Khana’  (afternoon lunch) with the NDRF personnel.

 

 

Earlier in the day, Shri Amit Shah visited the Dagdushet Halwai Ganapati temple in Pune and performed puja.
