Organizing Secretary of Vijnan Bharati, Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe, Dr Arvind Ranade, Senior Scientist, Vigyan Prasar, Mrs Leena Mehendale, former bureaucrat, Radio astronomer Dr Ananda Hota were present on the occasion.

To promote and popularise the Two-Day Conference and Exhibition on the National Calendar of India six curtain-raisers of the event were held across the country.

The aim of curtain raisers is to make the youth aware about the Indian National Calendar. Registration and other details of the conference is available at http://bharatcalendar.in. An Expo related to the National Calendar, lectures, panel discussion and observation sessions will be the 2-day part of this conference.
