The Annual National Cadet Corps (NCC) Conference was held at the Headquarters of NCC Directorate Maharashtra and Mantralaya in Mumbai today. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar chaired the conference at Mantralaya.

 

Various core issues pertaining to NCC in Maharashtra were discussed and several landmark decisions were taken by the Deputy CM which will have a positive impact on the functioning of NCC in the state including various infrastructure projects.

 

Major General YP Khanduri, ADG Maharashtra Directorate, also set out the aims and objectives for the new training year and complimented the Group Commanders, Commanding Officers, Staff & NCC Cadets for their excellent performance during the training year 2021-22. The ADG also mentioned that the NCC is doing a commendable job in shaping the future of the youth and inspiring them towards Nation building.
 

Minister of State for Sports Aditi Tatkare, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Om Prakash and Principal Secretary School Education & Sports Shri Vikas Chandra Rastogi also attended the Conference.

The conference was held after a gap of two years in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
