Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Dr L Murugan today inspected the Aavin unit at Chithode in Erode district.

The Union Minister, who inspected the milk processing facility and the production of Aavin products including milk khova, butter and milk powder, inquired about the procurement of milk from milk producers' co-operative societies and sales.

He subsequently had a discussion with dairy officials of Aavin. Erode District Collector Shri H Krishnanunni, Milk Production and Dairy Development Commissioner Shri G Prakash, Modakkurichi Legislator Smt C Saraswathi and other officials were present during the review.
