Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri. S. Abdul Nazeer flags off ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Arkaku Valley in Alluri Sitharama Raju district, on the occasion of 3rd ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ and ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’.

Marking the launch of the massive outreach programme ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’  undertaken by the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Andhra Pradesh Governor, Shri. S. Abdul Nazeer, on Wednesday flagged off an ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ (IEC) van in Araku Valley’s Ravvalaguda under Pedalabudu panchayat of Alluri Sitharama Raju district.

Paying rich tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda for his spirited struggle which compelled the British Raj to take cognisance of the plight and exploitation of the tribals, the Governor observed that, Bhagwan Birsa Munda encouraged tribals to understand their cultural roots and observe unity. He took up the cause of the Adivasis and worked for restoring and reviving the tribal pride. He also recalled the sacrifice of revolutionary freedom fighter ‘Manyam Veerudu’ Alluri Sitarama Raju for his unrelenting armed campaign against the British colonial rule.

 

The nationwide launch of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra with significant tribal population was coincided with the Prime Minister’s launch of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ from Khunti, Jharkhand, the birth place of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

 

Initially, the yatra will cover two districts—Alluri Sitaram Raju and Parvathipuram Manyam— which have a significant tribal population. The yatra is aimed at reaching the vulnerable people who are eligible for various schemes but have not benefited so far.

 

In Gummalakshmipuram of Parvathipuram Manyam district, Andhra Pradesh, District Collector, Shri Nishant Kumar launched the programme, attended by Shri Shobit Gupta, Director Finance, Government of India. 

 

 

At the launch of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, benefits were given to eligible people under PM Mudra, PM's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Ujjwala scheme, and financial support for women empowerment.

 

 

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra pledge was administered by the officials on the occasion.

 

 

In Andhra Pradesh’s Parvathipuram Manyam district the IEC van will move in Elwinpeta, Gummalakshmipuram mandals.

 

The IEC (Information, Education and Communication) vans will publicise popular Central schemes as a significant step towards a more inclusive and developed India, with shared commitment to the growth and prosperity of the nation.

 

 

 

The IEC Vans have been branded and customised to enable dissemination of information through audio visuals, brochures, pamphlets, booklets and flagship standees in Hindi and state-specific languages.

 

Jan Bhagidari events like experience sharing by beneficiaries of the schemes, interaction with progressive farmers, celebration of achievements of Gram Panchayats achieving 100% saturation of schemes like Ayushman Card, Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, ODF Plus status, on the spot quiz competitions, Drone demonstration, health camps, Mera Yuva Bharat volunteer enrolment, etc., would form part of the ground activities.

 

The nationwide campaign, Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat, one of the largest ever outreach initiative, will continue for 2 months with focused activities reaching out to people and creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc.

 

This will eventually aims to cover over 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats and over 3,600 urban local bodies by 25th January 2024 touching every district of the country.

 

The entire campaign is implemented under the whole of Government approach with roles and responsibilities of Central government, state governments, district and local authorities.
