The documentary film on Khuman Prakash Singh, produced by Sahitya Akademi and directed by Aribam Syam Sarma has won the 15th Manipur State Film award under the category of Best Biographical/art & Culture Film for the year 2023.

This documentary film is the 164th documentary produced by the Akademi as a part of Sahitya Akademi's archives of Indian literature project.

Till date, Sahitya akademi produced 169 documentary films on eminent authors including Amrita Pritam, Vinda Karandikar, Gopalakrishna Adiga, D Jayakantan, Dharamvir Bharti, Mulk Raj Anand, Mahasweta Devi, Ruskin Bond and the like.
