Chadrayaan-3 Project Director Dr.P. Veeramuthuvel delivers Physics Special Lecture in Pondicherry University

Department of Physics, School of Physical, Chemical and Applied Sciences conducted a Special Lecture. Dr.P.Veeramuthuvel, Project Director of Chadrayaan-3 from ISRO, Bengaluru delivered the lecture. The Lecture was organized by Dr.S. Gokul Raj, Associate Professor of Physics, Pondicherry University. Prof. Clement Sagayaradja Lourdes, Director - C&CR (Culture & Cultural Relations) presided over the program. Dr. S. Gokul Raj, Faculty of Physics welcomed the Chief Guest following which Prof. Clement, Director - C&CR honored the Chief Guest Dr.P.Veeramuthuvel.
Chief Guest delivered the path and successful launch of Chandrayaan-3. He briefed about the Lander and Rover and it roles in Moon. He also highlighted the meticulous work carried out by the Scientist in making the Chandraayaan-3 to land in moon safely. The lecture was quite interesting and was inspirational for the students of Physics, Chemistry and Geological Sciences. Graduate, Post-graduate, research scholars and people from various discipline participated in this session. Students, staffs of both teaching an non-teaching staffs had a brief time to interact with the scientist from ISRO, Bangalore and he was patiently interacting with all the participants.
After the Special Lecture, Project Director of Chadrayaan-3 spent some time in interacting with all the students who participated in the event besides his hectic schedule. Prof.Alok Sharan of Department of Physics delivered the Vote of Thanks. With the support of Prof.R.Sivakumar, HOD of Physics and other faculty members, the program was successfully completed. Participants during the Invited Lecture across various discipline interacted with Dr.P.Veeramuthuvel, Project Director of Chadrayaan-3 from ISRO, Bengaluru
