From next Friday, i.e., March 15, 2024 Metro services will start plying on Howrah Maidan to Esplanade stretch of Green Line under the River Hooghly. Apart from that, Metro will be plying on Kavi Subhash to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch of Orange Line and on the extended stretch from Joka to Majerhat of Purple Line. From that day passengers will be commuting under the Hooghly river for the first time in our country. The details are hereunder:

ON HOWRAH MAIDAN TO ESPLANADE STRETCH OF GREEN LINE:

Total 130 services (65 services from Howrah Maidan and 65 services from Esplanade) will be available on this stretch from Monday to Saturday daily. Services will be available at 12 -15 minutes intervals on both directions. Services will be available from Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations alternatively on East-bound and West-bound lines. Services will not be available on this stretch on Sundays.

First Service:

At 7.00 am from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade

At 7.00 + am from Esplanade to Howrah Maidan

Last Service:

At 9.45 am from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade.

At 9.45 am from Esplanade to Howrah Maidan.

ON KAVI SUBHASH TO HEMANTA MUKHOPADHYAY STRETCH OF ORANGE LINE

Total 48 daily services will be available on this stretch (24 services from Kavi Subhash to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay and 24 services from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay to Kavi Subhash) from Monday to Friday. Services will be available at 20 minutes intervals. Services will not be available on Saturdays and Sundays. 

First Service:

At 9.00 am from Kavi Subhash to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay.

At 9.00 am from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay to Kavi Subhas.

Last Service:

At 4.40 pm from Kavi Subhash to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay

At 4.40 pm from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay to Kavi Subhash

ON JOKA TO MAJERHAT STRETCH OF PURPLE LINE

Total 36 services (18 services from Joka to Majerhat and 18 services from Majerhat to Joka) will be available on this stretch daily.  Services will be available from Monday to Friday. Services will be available at 25 minutes intervals on this stretch. Services will not be available on Saturdays and Sundays.

First Service:

At 08.30 am from Joka to Majerhat.

At 08.30 am from Majerhat to Joka.

Last Service:

At 3.35 pm from Joka to Majerhat.

At 3.35 pm from Majerhat to Joka.
