Union Minister of State for Rural Development Shri. Kamlesh Paswan emphasized that northeastern states are a priority in national development, with the central government committed to advancing initiatives that benefit all citizens.

During his visit to Mizoram, Paswan interacts with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) housing scheme and Self Help Groups (SHGs). He further reviews the PMGSY and MGNAREGA activities in Muallungthu, Aibawk Block. He stressed that central schemes are intended for all citizens and must reach every eligible beneficiary. The Minister highlighted that northeastern states, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi including Mizoram, are receiving focused attention to enhance the railways, airports, road and electricity.

Paswan noted ongoing improvements in road connectivity across Mizoram, with renovations and new construction projects in progress. He assured continued efforts to enhance connectivity to towns and villages, including developing train services to the state capital, which he believes will significantly benefit the region.

The Minister encouraged residents to voice their concerns and assured them of his support. He expressed satisfaction that over 30,000 beneficiaries in Mizoram have received assistance under PMAY-G.
