The Annual Convocation 2024 of Government Industrial Training Institute, Chandigarh was held at the institute campus in Sector 28-C, Chandigarh today, 26th October, 2024. 369 students were awarded the National Trade Certificates (NTCs) during the convocation ceremony. 

The convocation was graced by Managing Director, Gillard Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Shri Sanjiv Singh as Chief Guest; Principal, CCET (Diploma Wing), Chandigarh, Er. M. L. Rana; Principal, Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Chandigarh, Smt. Vin Dosajh; Er. Arun Kumar, Principal, GITI, Chandigarh; State Controller of Examination, Mrs. Anju Verma; staff, other dignitaries, and students.

The Chief Guest awarded the merit certificates and mementoes to the meritorious students securing 1st, 2nd & 3rd position in their respective trades.

Select success stories of the alumni of the institute were also shared with the audience on the occasion, as a testament to the journey of the institute over the  years.

The event started with welcome address by Principal, GITI followed by lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries, accompanied by divine recitation of Saraswati Vandana. The Convocation was addressed by Chief Guest and Managing Director, Gillard Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Shri Sanjiv Singh. The Principal, GITI also presented the achievements and outcomes of the institute. The convocation ended with vote of thanks by Shri Desh Raj Sharma, CEO of the convocation and concluded with the rendition of the national anthem. All faculty and staff members of GITI put forward their best efforts in making this event a grand success.
