There has been delays in completion projects due to delay in pre- construction activities, delay in statutory clearances, contractors financial problems, force majeure events, scarcity of construction materials etc. Government has taken various initiatives for expediting project on National Highways in the country including the state of Himachal Pradesh, like streamlining and expediting of land acquisition, Revamping Parivesh Portal for forest and environment clearances, online approval of General Arrangement Drawing(GAD) of ROB/RUB from Railways, review meetings at various levels with all stake holders including State Governments.
