On the eve of World Heritage Day, the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC), under the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), hosted a special celebration at Gulshan Mahal, a stunning 19th-century heritage building and the traditional wing of the museum.

To mark the occasion, NMIC invited visitors to participate in a Sketch & Photography Competition that paid tribute to the architectural beauty and cultural legacy of Gulshan Mahal. Participants of all ages—from young children to seasoned artists—took part, filling the museum with creativity and enthusiasm.

The event also highlighted the importance of World Heritage Day, emphasizing the need to preserve and celebrate our shared heritage. The best artworks were awarded prizes, adding joy and encouragement to the meaningful celebration.

As the world prepares to observe World Heritage Day tomorrow, NMIC’s event served as a vibrant reminder that heritage lives not just in buildings, but in the hearts and expressions of the people.
