Jiribam, May 22, 2025– The District Level Committee (DLC) for Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, met today at the DC’s Conference Hall to plan the initiative’s implementation in Jiribam District.
DAJGUA, a time-bound Government of India mission, aims to empower tribal communities through holistic development. In Jiribam, three tribal villages—Jairolpokpi (826 tribals), Chotobekra (784 tribals), and Bhutangkhal (523 tribals)—have been identified for focused interventions.
The district administration will launch the “Dharti Aaba Abhiyan - Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps” from June 15–30, 2025, to deliver individual entitlements and raise awareness about DAJGUA. The campaign will ensure last-mile access to schemes like PMAY, MGNREGS, PM-KISAN, KCC, Jan Dhan, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), PMSBY, Aadhaar, Ration Cards, and Caste Certificates.
DC Krishna Kumar directed line departments to coordinate efforts, conduct Gram Sabhas in the identified villages, assess progress, and document success stories. He emphasized meticulous planning to achieve the campaign’s goals.
The meeting was attended by ADC/CEO Zilla Parishad Th. Manoranjan Singh, MCS, SDO L. Tarajeet Singh, MCS, SDCs, and other district-level officers.
