Higher Education for Persons with Special Needs [HEPSN] & Centre for Study of Social Inclusion [CSSI] of Pondicherry University proposes to organise a 12-month UPSC coaching programme exclusively for persons with disabilities (PWDs). The training provided will be free for the PWDs. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities [DEPWD], MSJE, Government of India, is providing financial support for this programme. The entire coaching will be provided through physical mode only.

PWDs aged 20-41 years, with annual family income of less than Rs. 8 lakhs, those who have completed Degree or about to appear/appeared for their final semester and those having their UDID Card can apply for the course.

Accommodation shall be arranged inside the University campus for outstation candidates. Those getting selected shall get exposure to training from qualified experts, 24×7 free accessible library of Pondicherry University and a monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000 which shall be transferred to participants’ respective Bank Account on a Quarterly basis. The stipend shall be paid to participants regularly attending classes which shall be monitored using Aadhaar-based bio-metric device.

Interested persons with disabilities are invited to apply by filling up the google form https://forms.gle/7GrACguPiRVrWHfY8 by uploading the required supportive documents on or before 10 June, 2025.

Only selected candidates will be intimated to join the classes. A high level selection committee has been nominated to do the selection. Decision of the selection committee is final.
