In a major stride towards advancing India’s AI capabilities globally, the IndiaAI Mission, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), announced the selection of 10 cutting-edge Indian AI startups for the IndiaAI Startups Global Initiative, a prestigious international acceleration program in partnership with Station F, Paris and HEC Paris.

Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "The Prime Minister’s visit to the AI Action Summit in February 2024 not only signalled high-level political commitment but also demonstrated India's intent to be a shaper of global AI norms and innovation diplomacy. India's AI ecosystem is now on the cusp of a global breakthrough. Through initiatives like this, we are enabling our most promising startups to tap into international markets, form global alliances, and create scalable, impactful solutions. This partnership of IndiaAI Mission with Station F and HEC Paris represents a new chapter in India’s innovation diplomacy."

MeitY Additional Secretary and CEO IndiaAI Mission, Shri Abhishek Singh said that the IndiaAI Startups Global Initiative is more than an acceleration program, it is a bridge between India’s talent and the world’s innovation hubs. These 10 startups exemplify the strength, diversity, and global potential of Indian AI. We are proud to support their next leap as global AI leaders, he said.

These 10 startups have been chosen through a rigorous multi-stage selection process and will represent India’s dynamic AI innovation ecosystem at Station F the world’s largest startup campus, for a four-month program designed to support their global scale-up, market access and cross-border collaboration. The program includes a one-month online preparation module followed by a three-month immersive residency in Paris, France.

This initiative forms part of the IndiaAI Mission’s broader vision to catalyze India’s leadership in responsible, scalable, and inclusive AI. Designed by HEC Paris, Europe’s leading business school, the program will provide startups with unparalleled access to resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities with leading French and European ecosystem players during their residency.

This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of leveraging AI for inclusive growth.

About IndiaAI Mission

In March 2024, the Government of India approved the IndiaAI Mission with the aim of building a precise and cohesive strategy for bridging the gaps in the existing AI ecosystem. The IndiaAI mission will establish a comprehensive ecosystem catalyzing AI innovation through strategic programs and partnerships across the public and private sectors. By democratizing computing access, improving data quality, developing indigenous AI capabilities, attracting top AI talent, enabling industry collaboration, providing startup risk capital, ensuring socially impactful AI projects and bolstering ethical AI, it will drive responsible, inclusive growth of India's AI ecosystem.

The IndiaAI Mission comprises 7 pillars, namely- IndiaAI Compute, IndiaAI Innovation Centre, IndiaAI Dataset platform, IndiaAI Application development initiatives, IndiaAI FutureSkills, IndiaAI Startup Financing, and Safe & Trusted AI.
