Graduation Showcases and Displays presented by the Graduating students of NIFT Gandhinagar

NIFT Gandhinagar hosted the Graduation Project Presentations and Displays for व्यक्त 2025 (Design Space – M.Des), Bottomline 2025 (Master of Fashion Management – MFM), and Technova 2025 (Bachelor of Fashion Technology – BFT), along with the Graduation Showcases and Exhibitions for प्रतिनाद 2025 (Fashion Communication – FC), तंतु 2025 (Textile Design – TD), तत्व 2025 (Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories – F&LA), and Impulse 2025 (Fashion Design).

NIFT Gandhinagar conducted its much-awaited Graduation Project Showcase 2025, titled प्रज्ञानमस्य सम्पात् – "The Confluence of Knowledge in Conclusion," celebrating the seamless integration of design, management, and technology. Centred around this unifying theme, the event aimed to dissolve traditional academic boundaries and highlight the powerful convergence of design thinking, technological innovation, and strategic management. The Sanskrit title encapsulates the essence of the showcase, honouring knowledge as both a pursuit of intellect and a transformative force that drives progress across industry, culture, and society.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar; Mr Deepak Sheta, Founder & Chairman, Apple Group; Mr Shailendra Kumar Nigam, CEO, Mangal Textiles; Ms Shefali Gaur, Strategic Program Leader, IBM; Mr Andrew Leo, Founder & CEO, Athflex. Their presence and insights enriched the dialogue around the evolving landscape of the fashion and design ecosystem, particularly the role of emerging technologies and strategic design thinking.

The program commenced with an opening inaugural ceremony featuring inspiring speeches from Prof. Dr Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar and Mr Deepak Sheta, Founder & Chairman, Apple Group; Mr Shailendra Kumar Nigam, CEO, Mangal Textiles; Ms. Shefali Gaur, Strategic Program Leader, IBM,  Mr. Andrew Leo, Founder & CEO, Athflex. 

Prof. Dr Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar, congratulated the graduating class 2025 with an inspiring speech. He highlighted the significance of hard work in achieving success and urged the graduates to pursue their dreams with dedication and perseverance. His motivational words reflected his strong belief in their potential to make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields. All the guests recognized the students' hard work and dedication. They acknowledged the countless hours of study, creativity, and perseverance each student invested in their education. In their speeches, they congratulated the graduates on their achievements, highlighting the significance of their accomplishments and their bright futures. The guests admired the students' resilience and determination, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their future endeavours.

This event was a culmination of graduating students from the Master of Design, Master of Fashion Management, and Bachelor of Technology programs, presenting their forward-looking ideas or potential creative solutions to the pressing needs of our time, developed in collaboration with industry. The projects, developed over four months in collaboration with industry partners, NGOs, research institutions, and startups, demonstrate the students' interdisciplinary thinking and problem-solving capabilities. The showcase will also host distinguished guest speakers from leading academic institutions, the fashion industry, and government bodies, enriching discussions around the evolving dynamics at the intersection of design, management, and technology.

The event combines various knowledge domains, fostering a dynamic conversation across design, management, technology, and networking. It explores the role of design in shaping inclusive, sustainable, and culturally grounded futures, as well as new-age business models, consumer psychology, and digital strategy. Students also explore how cutting-edge technology revolutionizes fashion systems, manufacturing processes, and consumer experiences. Student presentations showcase impactful 4-month graduation projects developed in collaboration with industry partners, startups, NGOs, and research bodies. Expert talks and panel discussions feature distinguished guest speakers from top-tier academic institutions, leading fashion and tech companies, and government bodies. The event provides networking opportunities for recruiters, researchers, and professionals to engage with young talent and forge connections with India's next generation of creative leaders and innovators. Attendees can witness the future of fashion, design, and technology through student innovation, engage with thought leaders and policymakers, explore collaboration opportunities, and gain insights into interdisciplinary education models that integrate sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

In the esteemed presence of invited industry experts, distinguished guests, and faculty members, the Graduation Showcases and Displays Graduation Showcases and Exhibitions for प्रतिनाद 2025 (Fashion Communication – FC), तंतु 2025 (Textile Design – TD), तत्व 2025 (Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories – F&LA), and Impulse 2025 (Fashion Design), were also inaugurated by Dr Jayanti S. Ravi, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat, along with Ms Mona K. Khandhar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department, Government of Gujarat, who served as the Chief Guests for the occasion.

Students  Displays

Vyakt 2025:  The Master of Design Department showcased 33 graduating students' unique projects in the socio-technical systems, education, and craft sectors. The show emphasized strategic design management, focusing on ethical branding and marketing innovation. The projects showcased a dynamic world where design-led strategies drive digital potential and foster ecosystems incorporating local value chains, cultural practices, indigenous knowledge, and marginalized communities. The goal was to inspire students to become committed professionals and impactful contributors to the nation's advancement.

Bottomline 2024: Bottomline 2025 marks the Graduation Project Presentation of the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) batch at NIFT Gandhinagar, featuring the work of 36 students. This flagship event represents the culmination of their two-year academic journey, showcasing expertise in strategic thinking, market research, brand development, sustainable practices, and innovative business solutions for the fashion and lifestyle industries. The graduating cohort addresses real-world business challenges and emerging trends through industry-aligned projects, demonstrating their readiness to drive innovation and leadership in the evolving fashion management landscape.

Technova 2025: "Technova-2025" graduation projects organized for 26 Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFT) students in 2020-24. The event showcased innovative projects that combined strategic business expertise with innovative approaches. The students' projects included product development, vendor selection process optimization, quality management, supplier selection, and standard operating procedures for the buying and manufacturing departments. The event reflects the students' exceptional talent and forward-thinking vision. The Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT Gandhinagar acknowledged the students' contributions during graduation projects, securing esteemed placements.

Tantu 2025:  Textile Design Department showcased the "Tantu 2024" event, featuring the designs of 36 graduating textile design students from various industry sectors. Sponsored by industry players like Arvind Ltd., Bajaj, Ashima, and Vardhman Textiles, the event showcased the students' exploration of diverse sectors through innovative textile-based projects. The students successfully integrated traditional crafts with modern commercial textiles, balancing the fresh perspectives of fashion startups with the refined aesthetics of prestigious high-end brands. The event exemplified the students' dedication and creativity in blending traditional crafts with modern textiles.

Tatva 2025 is the prestigious Graduation Project Showcase of the Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA) Design Department at NIFT, featuring the exceptional work of 31 graduating students. This landmark event represents the pinnacle of their academic journey, where theoretical knowledge transforms into tangible, industry-ready design solutions. Through curated exhibitions, the students present innovative collections and groundbreaking projects that reflect their mastery of materials, craftsmanship, and contemporary design thinking. Each piece serves as a creative statement and a professional benchmark, demonstrating the designers' technical prowess and unique aesthetic vision.

Pratinad 2025: Communiqué 2025 embodies the spirit of communication, connection, and creation as the Fashion Communication Department's Graduation Project Showcase. Featuring the work of 40 talented students from the Class of 2025, it is a collective declaration of our creative vision. This showcase captures the evolving voice of our batch, expressed through projects that speak louder than words. It reflects our interpretation of the world—transformed into thoughtful narratives, bold visuals, and innovative expressions. Beyond the message itself, Communiqué 2025 highlights the power of intentional communication in shaping perception and driving impact.

Impulse 2025: The graduates of the Fashion Design Department proudly showcased their four years of intensive learning through an impressive display of their design collections, captivating the attention of everyone in attendance. "Impulse 2025," the annual Graduation Showcase of the Fashion Design Department, highlighted the creative journey of 41 students through their graduation projects. Each collection represented the culmination of the student's hard work, reflecting their innovative approaches and unique perspectives on fashion design. The event featured a diverse array of styles, silhouettes, and designs, from traditional to contemporary, underscoring the rich talents of NIFT graduates. The showcase offered a comprehensive look into the students' design processes, from the initial concept development to the meticulous execution of their final pieces. Attendees were treated to a variety of designs that celebrated cultural heritage, pushed the boundaries of modern fashion, and demonstrated a keen awareness of current trends and future possibilities. "Impulse 2025" highlighted the graduates' technical skills, creative vision, and ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
