Central Bureau of Communication, Bengaluru in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris, Bengaluru conducted a run up event to IDY-2025

In the run up to the 11th International Day of Yoga-2025, the Central Bureau of Communication, Bengaluru and Brahma Kumaris, Bengaluru organized a mass Yoga session on 15 June, 2025 at Rajyoga Bhawan, Gottigere in Bengaluru. The event was attended by over 1000 yoga enthusiasts, who practiced yoga, demonstrated by yoga practitioners of all ages ranging from children to old aged persons.

Speaking at the event, Sister Rajayogini BK Ambika, VV Puram Subzone Chairman, said that the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated with great enthusiasm not only in India but also abroad. Yoga Day and the practice of yoga asanas should not be limited to just one day, but should be incorporated throughout life, naturally, for our all-round development.

She underlined the importance of Yoga for physical, mental and emotional health. “Many problems can be solved through yoga and Raja Yoga meditation,” she said. Yoga Master K A Shankar from Shankar Yoga Kendra, Lal Bagh, Bengaluru, said, “I have been teaching yoga, meditation, and pranayama for free for about 43 years. Physical exercise can strengthen one’s muscles and increase stamina, but Yoga ensures the holistic well being of a person”.

The program was attended by the staff of Central Bureau of Communication, Bengaluru, members of Brahma Kumaris, Bengaluru and the public.
