In a spirited prelude to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has led a series of events under the Ministry of Ayush’s 10 Signature Events initiative, culminating in a grand Yoga Sangam on June 21 at the Supreme Court of India and Kendriya Vidyalaya NTPC Ground, Badarpur. These flagship celebrations are expected to witness the participation of nearly 2,000 students, doctors, lawyers, and yoga enthusiasts, uniting in the shared spirit of health, harmony, and holistic well-being.

Speaking on the initiative, Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Director of AIIA, emphasized, “Yoga is not just a practice but a philosophy of balanced living. Through these 10 Signature Events, we aim to bring together Ayurveda, classical wisdom, and modern science to elevate public health and inner resilience.”

As part of its contribution to the 10 Signature Events of IDY 2025, AIIA organized:
- Yoga Samavesh: A 3-day Iyengar Yoga Workshop (June 9–11) and a Satkarma (cleansing techniques) workshop (June 17–18) to promote therapeutic yoga practices and internal purification.
- Yoga Unplugged: Youth-centric Yogasana and quiz competitions, along with a dedicated “Yoga at Old Age” session to promote wellness across age groups.
Harit Yoga: A plantation drive on June 16, with over 100 medicinal plants planted on campus, reinforcing the yoga-nature nexus.
- Samyoga: Launch of a Bhagavad Gita Lecture Series (from June 17), exploring yogic teachings from classical scriptures.
- Yoga Prabhava: Guest lectures exploring the science of yoga, including sessions by AIIMS faculty on genetics and Sahaj Yoga for emotional well-being.

The upcoming Yoga Sangam sessions at the Supreme Court and Badarpur promise to be symbolic of the all-encompassing message of IDY—Yoga for One Earth, One Health.
