Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), an Institution of National Importance, Ministry of Home Affairs, continues to accelerate its global outreach and academic partnerships in alignment with India’s Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. A high-level RRU delegation visited the State of Qatar from 11th to 16th June 2025.

The visit included engagements with key institutions and stakeholders, including the Embassy of India, Doha, Skill Development Centre (SDC), Doha an organization dedicated to enhancing employability and skill proficiency among the Indian diaspora through quality training and certification.

Skills Development Centre (SDC) in Doha, established in 2002, is a prominent institution dedicated to nurturing talent and personality development through the academic activities. SDC also hosts major events like Swaralaya, celebrating its legacy through performances and exhibitions, and remains a vibrant platform for the Indian diaspora in Qatar to engage in holistic development. SDC plays a pivotal role in upskilling Indian nationals in Qatar, aligning their competencies with international standards and regional workforce needs.

During the delegation’s visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between RRU and the Skill Development Centre (SDC) to offer various activities in collaboration with SDC. This initiative is designed to empower the Indian diaspora with high-quality, job-relevant training in fields such as Private Security, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, and Fitness Management and related fields. 

Key discussions focused on areas of mutual interest such as Cybersecurity, Drone Technology, AI-based Surveillance, Stress and Injury Management, and counselling Services for families of differently abled children.

Police College Academy, Qatar

The delegation also explored potential collaborations with the Police College Academy and the Directorate of Security Systems, with focused discussions on joint initiatives in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Labs. Aligned with its vision of "Global Education, Local Impact," Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) continues to strengthen international alliances to provide access to world class training and contribute to India’s knowledge driven growth under the Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.

RRU remains steadfast in its commitment to creating a safer and more informed global society by advancing research, training, and education. Through sustained engagements with the Indian diaspora and across all GCC countries and strategic partnerships with global institutions, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) aims to foster academic excellence, strengthen capacity-building initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to India’s vision for becoming knowledge.
