Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Minority Affairs, Shri George Kurian, will attend the International Day of Yoga 2025 celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram as chief guest on June 21 (Saturday). The programme will begin at 6:00 AM at the Uday Palace Convention Centre, Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram.

The event is being organised by the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), Kovalam under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism. Principal of IHMCT, Shri R. Ananthakrishnan, will welcome the gathering. This will be followed by a Common Yoga Protocol session and a live telecast of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on the occasion.

As part of International Day of Yoga 2025, the Ministry of Tourism is organising yoga demonstrations at 40 important locations across the country on the same day.
