Indiatourism Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2025 at Ellora Caves

Indiatourism - Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Circle, and seven Maharashtra Girls Battalion NCC Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, celebrated the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 at the iconic Ellora Caves today – 21st  June, 2025.

The event began with an insightful session that highlighted the core principles and immense importance of yoga and meditation in contemporary life. Emphasizing yoga's physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, the session inspired the diverse audience to embrace yoga as a unifying and transformative practice. It reinforced how regular yoga enhances well-being, reduces stress, and fosters inner and communal harmony.

A special Yoga Demonstration was conducted by Ms. Rasika More, a seasoned yoga expert. She guided participants through various asanas and breathing techniques as per the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), encouraging people of all ages and fitness levels to adopt yoga into their daily lives.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including:  MLA, Gangapur–Khultabad Assembly Constituency, Shri Prashant Bamb, Tehsildar, Khultabad, Shri Swaroop Kankal, Colonel S. Aiyappa, Senior Officer, Indiatourism Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Ms. Snehal Patil, Conservation Assistant, Archaeological Survey of India, Ellora Caves, Shri R. Waklekar, and Seven Maharashtra Girls Battalion NCC. Guest of Honour, MLA, Shri Prashant Bamb,  addressed the gathering and underscored the vital role of yoga in promoting a healthy and balanced life.

Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, added profound cultural and spiritual resonance to the event. The historic site’s tranquil and majestic environment provided a fitting backdrop for a celebration rooted in India’s rich heritage. The event drew over 550 enthusiastic participants, including staff from Indiatourism Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the Archaeological Survey of India, NCC cadets, and tourism stakeholders.

Indiatourism Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar extended heartfelt gratitude to all partners, volunteers, and participants for their unwavering support in making the International Day of Yoga 2025 at Ellora Caves a memorable and impactful success.
