Paradip Port Authority (PPA) successfully observed the 11th International Day of Yoga today at Gopabandhu Stadium. The grand event saw enthusiastic participation from more than 1000 individuals, Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman, HoDs, and senior Officers of Paradip Port participated and performed Yoga asanas.

The session was conducted by Shri Tapas Ranjan Pati, an experienced faculty member of The Art of Living. Participants included PPA officials, students, CISF Personnel, Port users and women from the Paradip Sakharata Samiti (PSS).

Shri Haranadh inaugurated the event and emphasized the importance of yoga for a healthy and harmonious life. He highlighted how yoga promotes physical and mental well-being.

Dignitaries present at the occasion included Shri U. R. Mohan Raju, Secretary; Capt. A. C. Sahu, Dy. Conservator; Shri H.S. Rout, Chief Engineer; Shri Susil Chandra Nahak, Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri G.Edition, Traffic Manager and Dr. B.B. Dash, Chief Medical Officer.

Adding to the inspiration, participants also virtually watched the live telecast of the International Day of Yoga 2025 from Visakhapatnam, where Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his speech, said that "It awakens us to inter connectedness. Yoga is for one Earth, one health. Yoga takes us from me to we. India is offering healing to the world," .

The successful observation of the International Day of Yoga by Paradip Port Authority underscores its commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its employees and the wider community.

Coinciding with the International Day of Yoga observations, Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA felicitated 40 Safai Mitras for their exemplary contributions for maintaining cleanliness at PPA, promoting Swachh Bharat Volunteers of Paradip Saksharata Samiti were also felicitated on the occasion.
